Liteback® is seen as a revolution for the flooring industry — ushering in the era of sustainable resilient flooring. The technology inserts milled grooves into the floor’s core — creating a lighter product and allowing for 20% of raw materials to be reused in the production process. The weight and sustainability savings cause a ripple effect for the whole supply chain — optimising the number of transportations, freight costs, required storage space, and delivery and installation efficiency.
Jiangsu Success Wood Products — which specialises in resilient and laminate flooring — export to the US, Canada, and Europe under the Pridon Flooring brand and have also agreed to develop Liteback® and 5G® floor locking solutions in their product portfolio.
“Välinge’s 5G® floor locking is widely regarded as the best-of-the-best and with Liteback they’ve taken that innovation and applied it to the floor’s core,” says Roger Wu, Export Dept Director, Jiangsu Success Wood Products. “What’s amazing with Liteback is the domino effect it creates in production and distribution — it’s a simple weight-saving production process that offers real-world savings in material and transportation costs that are especially appreciated during these uncertain times.”
Jiangsu Success Wood Products join the growing number of Liteback licensees including Welspun in India, Kira Flooring in Egypt, and Zhejiang Tianzhen Technology (TZ), BBL, and Changzhou Kingfisher in China.
“We’re really happy with the direction Liteback is taking,” says Per Josefsson, Per Josefsson, Director, Plastic Floor Technology, Välinge Innovation. “We’re working closely with all our partners — those that have started production and others who are currently developing their Liteback products. The future is bright…and light!”
